Hey everyone,

Noob here. Looking to gain knowledge and maybe a few bucks along the way. Figure this would be a good place to start as the people here seem to know their way around.

First post.

Hello in 2012! I found AFI just this a.m. when I decided to look into a suspicious email received from yet another CareerBuilder poster. Fortunately, I found that AFI members have posted the same message! Hence, in my search, I came upon the AFI website..and so lucky to have bumped into you all, as I genuinely appreciate the more intimate, user-to-user interaction. I look forward to being a productive member of the site, so...my first course of action will be to post the email received this morning - sharing is caring - and sharing in numbers, empowers the innocent consumer against the sundry scam artists out there!

I'm busy reading up on how AFI works and thought I would say hello given there is an entire thread dedicated to it. So "hello one and all".

You guys let unregistered members post threads, and replies? That way you can store their ip's and weed out the trolls.

If people want to remain anonymous they are welcome too, as long as they don't post any personal information. We only care about IP addresses if they are scammers.

Do you use paypal?
Now I won`t use paypal for large amount business,as it is too risk, sometimes you will not only lost the goods, but also the money.
I think TT and Westerunion is more reliable.
What do you think?

Sphinx

Western Union is about as safe as walking through a dangerous neighborhood at night wearing as sign that says "I'm carrying cash". If you want to send money you send it by bank to bank transfer.

Can somebody tell me what this members list on this forum is exactly? ... Anti-Fraud International - Members List

I received an email from somebody. And when i google the email, it comes up under the above title on this forum. But when i try view the page it says i am not authorised to do so.

Is the email from a member here, or is that list a list of scam artists?

Thanks for your help!

@ olives33. You could not see things as you had not been approved. I have no idea why you should receive a email leading to our members list, can you send me a copy of the email via the private message ?

I have approved you, but please do not post any links to your business as this would be classed as spam. Thank you.

Hello folks,
Ok I'll say hello for 2012. I have been a member for a while but sorry I have not made any posts as of yet. I have been posting on another official anti-scam website. I am taking steps to post to a number of anti-scam websites rather than just on one. I have alot of information on scams or fraud mostly related to online dating. I will find time to post this information that scammers send to me. I am an active scammer catcher so in the future I will be posting here on a regular basis.

see you

hello, regards, and appreciation to all the people running this site and the various members that help with information.

i am not sure if this is the right place for this post, but i just wanted to say how i came across this wonderful site full with the same of what i have on my desk specifically commodities scams.

i just joined a trading company, and was overwhelmed with the amount of inquires my colleagues was working on, and i was thinking wow and impressed together with enthusiastic of the commission i will be reaping soon, untill i strtaed seeing and hearing things i have never come across before, which led me to try to coach them into more stringent Due diligence prior to starting the negotiations and wasting time and money on calls only and ridiculous documentation, honestly i never did international trading, but a lot of local trading, so at the beginning i thought i am just ignorant and i know nothing, however just a simple google led me to few actual scams that a colleague of mine was vigorously working on while inducing me. although i did highlight a couple of valid questions but hey i am the new guy right,,,, so i sucked it in and went through with it and doing my own searching on my free time, thats when i found your wonderful site, i printed what i felt concerns my colleague's transaction and waited until he started to getting desperate, instead of saying i told you so, i just gave him the info i was able to gather from here, the names are totally different but the content is a copy paste.

again i thank you from my heart for all of your efforts. and hopefully i will be able to contribute here to enable the education of young, old, new or not people into the real trading, eliminating those time wasters, blood sucking B------s.

Hello. Oddly enough, in more than 7 years, we have discovered that spelling and grammar are variable. We don't care. We also have many languages done here. Also, anyone may contribute here, member or not, as long as they don't spam.
