Thank you and yes, I will keep this up for as long as possible.

I am feeling soooooooo much better and more empowered than ashamed of myself now as I read the siutations of others. They are so similar!

It has drawn me into forcing the hands of these people to expose them to others so that they do not go through what I did.

These people see your pic online for romance and know you are hurting for love in your life and take advantage of it all.

They know exactly how to woo you into thinking that all is wonderful and if there is a question in your mind are quick to try to tell you that you are crazy for thinking such things or play your heart strings with phrases like, "Well, you just won't do it because you don't love me and my child!"

That seems to be a concensus on these frauds .. they are your children as well and all kinds of promises and love until you question it.

Anyone at any time can become a victim given the right time and bait. A scammer wants his victims to stay silent from shame so that he can continue to prey on other victims in the future.

You are a courageous person, BlackTexasRose, for coming forward and telling about your experience. By working to stop these scammers , you are saving countless other victims from the same fate.

Years ago a well known/well placed person in my area went public to tell people how he had been scammed in a romance scam. It really made people think. If someone like him could be scammed in an online scam then it could happen to anybody! He was a brave man to risk his reputation but he probably saved hundreds of people just by his one media interview.

Glad to meet you, TexasBlackRose! Look forward to more of your posts. Several family members have served in different branches of the military.

    i agree.

I fell for a scammer, the very first time of course. I lost my life savings and took out a loan.
I knew something was wrong in my head but my heart wanted to hear the things that were being said so desperately.
I of course have not fallen for this again .. but for someone to say that it is obvious that they are scammers, my answer is not really.
There are some like this that are very obvious but there are some that do not even ask for anything for a few months into the 'relationship'. Probably because there is money from elsewhere at the time but we do not know this at the time.
Please bare in mind that to be a victim is not to be ridiculed. When that happens we tend to not say anything and then how would these people be brought forth for what they are doing.

A scammer only needs one victim to make money from this. And the victims are out there, hence this posting.

This is a scammer. Never trust the content of an email which its sender call himself a military man but sends out email from google mail account.
    That is soooooooo funny!!
