OCHA UN - Fake employment offers - big scam
This scam has been operating for over a year (started in late 2008 and was probably at its height in the summer of 2009). The documents appear genuine but, strangely, you are never supplied with a phone number. If a number is supplied, you can't get through. If you email the scumbags to point out that you can't get through, you are told that they have had problems with their phone lines and you are encouraged to try again. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY FOR HOUSING FEES OR WORK PERMITS. As soon as you discover the fraud, be a good citizen: search for sites where the bogus vacancies may have been posted (including universities) and contact these institutions immediately to notify them of the fraud.
