It's odd to say the least ,I mean why mention the subject of scammers in the first place ? unless it's to impress on me, how un-scammy she is, while using the Bat living in Zvenigovo when the IP is Yoshkar-Ola Marie-el , and at 25 interested a man more than twice her age .

This is where I think there is cunning in Russian scams .

I think the idea of this opening up of hers is to suggest her honesty and the worst case scenario of what could already be in my mind as a fear of what might arise for me a foreigner and a love interest . My bait in this situation has been suggesting over three of four letters in a direct but friendly way that I am too old for her and admitted of knowing of a sex slave industry and how awful it all was. This dose two things ,it is not saying I don't want to meet this girl(because she knows what my bait photo looks like) and at the same time It sounds her out that I am telling the truth and I am genuinely interested but concerned about what she and I are taking on board.

Her next letter tells me she is a 100 % scammer because I have seen this one before ,sentences of this letter can be googled .

She paid her own air fare went to meet a man and was left stranded .
So it confirms to me that she wants to leave Russia, is very sad and now needs help to do it a second time.
If I were to press for deeper questions as to what country she went to meet this man or when all this happened, it would be met with, Oh I don't want to talk about it now it is in the past and you are my main man now etc etc.. and adds that she wants to see more pictures of me my family background because that will prompt me to show more of myself and more of my feelings so she can gauge which script to send next with a hand written insert directly replying to any relevant questions and more photo/s of course.

not speak, that you too the same person! You have very much liked me,
your letters mention strings of my soul. I think, that you can
correctly understand me, I very much hope for it! I all over again

on the other hand we never can learn each other better as at a

this idea has been discussed by guys who find out just in time (before sending money)that the girl can be made to see the right way to behave . I have been finding out about the culture of criminality in the former soviet union and it seems "culture" is just what it is.

Without saying that all Russians are heartless all scammers are . They see something to aspire to within their culture and theirs just happens to have a long history of ill gotten gains also "the foreigner" has been painted a bad colour by years of cold war with USA and most of Europe. An oppressive past has for them bread a user friendly black market and the new capitalist Russia is still entrenched with the old corruption mentality.
Now that Communism has been lifted successful networks of illegal groups have moved on to firmly established themselves in areas they see as profitable, to take advantage of the internet is just another area.
