    Test

This in not to prove anyone wrong but hopefully it will prove the right way to go about posting searchable email addresses .
The only contact the scammer has using this email address is with me, so bearing that in mind, I will post it for seven days in this format to see what happens .

    spenterton(at)yahoo.com

    Well well !!
searching spenterton(at)yahoo.com = no hits from Google search at day three.
    But from http://www.alltheweb.com/ =
    http://www.alltheweb.com/search?cat=...&_sb_lang=pref

    Note
When searching Russian email addresses it's a good idea to search other mail hosts thus (irinochka95@yahoo.com) becomes (irinochka95@rambler.ru)
Many Russian romance scammers use yahoo for date site registration and Russian hosts like Rambler.ru Yandex.ru etc... for scam mail .

I've gotten lots from rambler.ru and inbox.ru, and one or two from mailgate.ru (which goes to mailgate.ru).

Date site owners who want to brush up on whether they are letting a scammer loose on their members might look further than a Yahoo registration address which might appear non Russian .When Russian scammers spam members it's very seldom the Yahoo registration address that they give as a contact .

I've gotten lots from rambler.ru and inbox.ru, and one or two from mailgate.ru (which goes to mailgate.ru).

Ugh, nothing more than I wasn't paying attention. When I wrote:

one or two from mailgate.ru (which goes to mailgate.ru).
    I meant to write:

one or two from yarex.info (which goes to mailgate.ru).

    Ewkay !!

I'm still fascinated why search engines do or don't pick up text .
The above email addy irinochka in brackets has no hits yet ,it's beginning to look like posting an email address in brackets is not a good idea .

    Trying this format

    <spenterton@yahoo.com>

search for <spenterton@yahoo.com> and hits come in the same as searching for spenterton(at)yahoo.com .
    In less than eight hours

    summary :
Searching spenterton as a single unbracketed word does work with google but it does not work as a complete email address in brackets.

Did we reach any conclusions here?

The rules are it seems ,to get the best search results .
Make sure the address or domain you want searched is highlighted in blue .

    1. Do not post any email addresses in brackets.
    2. Do not post (at) in email addresses .
