    Javier Baez

    Reposting and rebuilding.

The thing is that I've got a lot of offers for the apt . I can do an open/house when I return but I think it is too
    much trouble .

The only option I left open to view/rent the apartment, without waiting, is a reservation of the apartment.. In this case I will cancel all appointments and come show and rent it to only one person. It is much easier for me and for the new tenant .

The reservation will imply the rental agreement signed by both parties and the deposit for holding .I will send the rental agreement from here signed, you will sign it also send it back by fax or email (scanned). Once you made this you will need to make available a deposit of $800 dollars here in Salt Lake City . The deposit is refundable .

So if you are really interested in the apt then you can reserve it, before the others get a chance to do it .If not, then maybe none of them will hold(reserve) the apt down and we can meet at the open/house .There are weak chances because it is a beauty and one of those 150 will surely reserve it.

If you are ready to proceed write down in your next email on the subject line (rental agreement) and your full name, full current address, starting date of the rental, end date . I will reply with all instructions so we can go further .This email should be sent in max a couple of hours. If you wish to reserve please understand perfectly all the details that I told you until now, before you write down "rental agreement" and all the other things .Also if you want to ask about me here are the 2 last tenants that were in the apt :

    Patrick Harolds - [pattryha@lawyer.com]
    Diana F Olpp - [francisolppdiana@yahoo.ca]

When you make up your mind please inform me with the decision . Not too late because I told you there are many interested in it .

Thank you for understanding and have a great day .

    My number : (801) 783-3244

P.S : I would appreciate a phone call but please make it if you want to reserve it . Due to the flow of inquires you can imagine all the hassle .
Once again I apologize for being so forward but I know you can understand .

He is posting as Javier Baez his email is [aezviier@aol.com]. I also double checked the ad this morning on CL and now the email address has changed to [bobby_eggers@yahoo.com].

    My informations are :
    Javier Baez
    161 W 600 S
    Salt Lake City, UT 84101

You will use these informations for the wire transfer by Western Union .Also the infos are written down on the last page of the rental agreement .I will be expecting all the requested informations in a couple of hours. The fax number is : (866) 639 0068. My phone number : (801) 783-3244

With this I think I concluded all the details and I hope we can resolve it asap .

    Thanks for understanding

I have received the same message from [markkutchi@aol.com], as well as many other scam artists advertising apartments for rent on craigslist. I can't believe how many of them there are out there. It seems like they all are living in West Africa or the Phillipines. I have written back to a couple of them telling them exactly what I think of them and have also warned them that they are being reported to local officials for their fraudulent activities. I work at a law firm so I'll be following up on these a-holes.

How can we find them or stop them from doing this?? Luckily, I am not someone who is naive or vulnerable but I'm sure that there are some poor souls who buy their BS.

The email address for [mkutchi@aol.com] is being used for a fraud that connects to the Parc Telegraph in SF. I called the complex's security desk to ask about it, and evidently someone actually paid the deposit ($1,050), then showed up and found out there was no apartment to be rented.

I had been poking around a bit, called the cell phone number provided (303-586-1299) and talked to someone with a really thick Eastern European accent. I mean honestly, it was almost comical if not for the fact this person was trying to get me to make a wire transfer to them. The address this person provided (320 17th Street in Denver) is the park right next to the Republic Plaza. The fax number provided was 866-639-0068 doesn't list to any business as far as I can tell. It gets weirder. This person provided me with email contacts for people who had previously rented the apartment, and one of them actually responded. This fraud is organized.

Here's the kicker: I got far enough into this thing that I got them to send me a rental agreement. The agreement, as far as I can tell, is for the entire complex. This person somehow forgot they were renting out a unit in a building. The scary part about this: there is someone named Mark Kutchi who has a condo in the building, and this person who is trying to rent out the condo is most assuredly not him.

I reported this to IC3.gov Anyone else who reads this thread and can add another name and scam to the list that is connected with this individual or organization should report it immediately to IC3.gov in order to give the feds a crack at these scum.

That address, 161 W 600 S looks like a hotel, the Red Lion Hotel in Salt Lake City.

    There was a spam problem.
