I got an email from the same guy telling me I was shortlisted. When I wrote back for details, he sent me an on-line assesment/interview form. Looks legit but what should I do now? I mean I am looking for a job.... If anyone has any thoughts about it!

The thoughts are....it's still a scam. You did not get an email from Total Oil. It's an email from a criminal and he wants your money.

I too got an offer after I had posted my resume on naukri.gulf. The guy, John Bolton sent me an email with a survey which looked legit. It did not ask for any ID questions. Just general questions about my job and strengths and capabilities. Next he sent me an employment contract. The salary and benefits appeared too good to be true and I became suspicious. I called the number and someone answered and confirmed it was Total E&P, and that he was John Bolton. He did not have a British accent. I then googled real Total E&P, and the phone and fax numbers are totally different. I spoke to the receptionist at the main number and she transferred me to the HR dept. The person who answered said there is no one by the name of John Bolton, and she said that they never send job offers over email, and that every interview is done in person. I don't know how many people this Bolton has fooled and gotten money from them. He should be caught and put in jail.
