What are you listening to - 2012

Oops - delayed start to the new thread this year. I have been much too busy to listen to much over the past few days and to stick with tradition and start the new thread.

We have just been to see one of our choir members who also sings with an Opera Company in this role at a nearby theatre:

    Stipendia enim peccati mors sunt.
"Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem" : Guillelmus de Occam

Do not annoy the Dragonsfor you are small and crunchy and good with Ketchup.

Mozart, The Magic Flute. Brilliant! What Garreg Ddu doesn't tell you is that he was singing in the same performance as one of the Chorus of Priests.

Jackie Evancho - Time To Say Goodbye

Jackie Evancho - Time To Say Goodbye (with Sarah Brightman on America's Got Talent FINALE) Such a powerful voice from one so small!

    Madredeus

Named after a Tram-terminus in Lisbon next to their first rehearsal room. I have been listening to them since 1994, after I saw the Wim Wenders film, Lisbon Story.

Teresa Salgueiro´s voice is outstanding, & the power & clarity is even better when unplugged.
From the DVD "Les Açores de Madredeus".

This was filmed in Brighton, East Sussex, UK

From the album "o espirito da paz"
