    U.S.A.-N.B.C. Dateline: Catching scammers

A series of video clips from the NBC dateline program are found here.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17697615/

There are 6 video segment links on the right, from a program from reporter Chris Hansen, "Face to face with spammers and scammers". Very good viewing.

I think there's going to be a new segment on credit card fraud too. Something to watch for.

This seems, at first glance, to almost be the opposite of what peole should do with scammers. If it makes them way of meeting someone because they fear to be on TV, then they won't meet people. But people shouldn't be meeting scammers anyway. So maybe it works OK is scammers are afraid to meet because they will be on TV.

Still very interesting to watch. Too bad they could only name 3 scammers.

A new Dateline video on scamming now. If you click the picture of the FBI man you should get a separate video window. You might need to click on the top picture widow to start with the mystery shopping scam.

Start the video thing on the one at the top that says "just looking for honest work". It should play through the whole series. You can individually click each picture on the left to watch a segment.
