Wow. Dumb and Dumber. So if you have the stomach for it you can read 35 things wrong with a debt collection scam mail here: http://antifraudintl.org/threads/kevin-petersen-attorney.111114/#post-305964. These idiots have managed to add to the list.

    So, one point for grammar.

    There is no such thing.

Hey look! They found a new crime. Except if you didn't do a wire transfer of money you didn't do this one.

469.29% interest rate- that's called usury in any country and it's against the law in probably every country.

Which is really interesting since they don't "state" the State that I am in.

    Dear:

I realize you haven't reacted to my previous notices concerning your account. I have written to you quite a few times over the past 11 months requesting an explanation on why you have failed to bring your currentaccount with us. Including the interests, the amount due is now $1,283. 00.

Unfortunately, by ignoring these warnings you are damaging the excellent credit record, you had previously maintained with CREDIT NAVIGATORS Inc. In addition, you are incurring additional expenses to yourself and to us.

Please arrange payment of this account today or, if you cannot make full payment at this time, please contact us to make a payment arrangement that is mutually acceptable,

I hate to engage in that process but unless you communicate with us within 2 days, we will have no other choice but to turn your account over for collection. I am sorry that we are about to take such a drastic action, but I am afraid you leave us no alternative. You can preserve your credit rating by remitting your check today for the amount stated above.

Please note if your account is not paid within 2 days we will take legal action without further notice.

    Sincerely,
    CREDIT NAVIGATORS Inc.

    What about a FTC report.

One thing they suggest to Americans is to contact the Attorney General of your state.

@ C, we don't care about your birthday and no one is going to call you. Being anonymous here is entirely acceptable. I have relatives who use LifeLock but I don't personally use it.
