EFCC arrests 14 ‘yahoo-yahoo’ boys with charms

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal office, on Tuesday arrested 14 suspected Internet fraudsters.

The suspects are: Abiola Kayode, Adeleye Adewale, Adeniyi Abiola, Favour Iruabo, Iyiola Olayemi, Lawal Remilekun and Martins Adetunji.

Others are: Obafunsho Oladipupo Samson, Olaleye Bamilola Hassan, Oseni Ridwan, Peter Ayobami Samuel, Peter Toluwabori, Prince Jibril Dirisu and Richard Jerry John.

The suspects were arrested in Badore Seaside, Ajah, Lagos State, following intelligence report received by the Commission about their activities.

Items recovered from the suspects include exotic cars , laptops and charms.

The anti-graft agency confirmed their arrest in a statement on its verified Twitter page.

The statement read “Suspected yahoo-yahoo boys arrested by the EFCC Lagos office in the Lekki area of the state for their alleged involvement in cybercrime and money laundering activities. Charms were part of the items recovered from them.

“They will be charged to court soon.”

The EFCC has drawn the curtain of excess spendings on a group of Yahoo Boys nabbed with 'juju' and expensive Benz.

Items recovered from the suspects, Ale Daniel, Tunde Badmus, Adams Tunde Adedeji and Ajiboye Gbenga, include an array of luxurious cars such as a Benz, Range Rover and magical charm.

15 ‘Yahoo Boys’ Arrested By EFCC, Coffins And Charms Recovered (Photos)

No fewer than 15 suspected Internet fraudsters(Yahoo boys) have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for offences bordering on obtaining by false pretence, lottery scam and love scam.

The suspects are: Adeyemi Tiwatope, 20; Odeyemi Olawale, 20; Nike Afolabi Olaiya, 20; Awe Abimbola Ireti, 23; Yusuf Aliu Oluwafemi, 20; Osidipe Olatunbosun, 24; Tosin Adesanya, 19 and Adeyinka Bello, 17.



Others are: Aliu Lukman, 18; Damilola Fatona, 20; Shonubi Adetola, 18; Adewale Babatunde, 17; Afolabi Lekan, 19; Awe Ayodele, 24 and Adeyemi Gbadebo, 19.



The suspects were arrested on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the Shotubo and Awoluwo areas of Sagamu, Ogun State.



Their arrest followed intelligence report received by the Commission about their criminal activities



They were alleged to be living flamboyantly without legitimate sources of income.

Items recovered from the suspects include laptops, phones bearing scanned forged documents, six exotic cars, charms and SIM cards, among others.



Meanwhile, in a related development, the EFCC also recovered coffins, calabashes and gourds from the home of a suspected kingpin of a syndicate of fraudsters, Adesanya R. Olaoluwa, who is currently under the EFCC watch.



Olaoluwa is alleged to be a herbalist who performs rituals for fraudsters to hypnotise unsuspecting victims.

The suspects will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Any time I see stuff like this I haveta check out the names to see if there is anyone I recognize.

However, most of these yahoo bois ARE boys. When I first got into scambaiting, all these guys were little kids.

So no...I recognize none of them.
