Phishing scams impersonating TSB

#1
Scammers are currently exploiting the recent computer glitches that have affected TSB bank in order to run a number of phishing campaigns targeting TSB customers.

TSB have assured customers that they would never contact customers to ask for security details, such as PINs or passwords. If customers are contacted via a social media account claiming to be TSB, they are advised to check for the tick to indicate that the account has been verified, as fraudsters have also been setting up fake TSB Facebook and Twitter pages.

Customers who receive phishing texts, calls or emails can report them to TSB by forwarding them to emailscams@tsb.co.uk and to Action Fraud via https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_phishing and NFIBPhishing@city-of-london.pnn.police.uk

Customers who fall victim to this scam should report it immediately to TSB by calling 03459 758 758 . Textphone users should contact 0345 835 3843 . The TSB fraud lines are open from 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 6pm on Sundays. You should also report it as a crime to Action Fraud at https://actionfraud.police.uk/report-a-fraud-including-online-crime-questions , 0300 123 2040 or 0300 123 2050 for textphone users.
