3 Dubai-based suspected Yahoo boys, 14 others arrested in Lagos by EFCC​

- Three Dubai-based suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys have been nabbed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
- Fourteen other suspected internet fraudsters were also arrested by the anti-graft agency
- The suspects were apprehended in the Lekki area of Lagos on different days and locations
- In recent times, a lot of Nigerian youths have been arrested for participating in criminal activities as the war against internet fraud continues to gain momentum

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos has arrested three Dubai-based suspected internet fraudsters alongside 14 others. The disclosure was made in a statement by the anti-graft agency, which confirmed that the suspects were nabbed on Tuesday, January 26, and Wednesday 27, at different locations in the state. According to the EFCC, the arrests were made after the agency got information about their suspected fraudulent activities in Nigeria and the diaspora.

The agency said the suspects would be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.

It was indicated in the statement that the Dubai-based suspects were apprehended at Victory Nest Estate, Jakande, Lekki, on Wednesday, January 27. The Dubai-based suspects are Samuel Oluwasegun Olayinka, Afeez Fajumobi and Olamide Olamilekan Olaofe, It should be noted that the anti-graft agency has intensified its fight against internet fraud as many Nigerian youths continue to engage in the illegal activity.
