They are not based in Tasmania or Australia. They lie about their location. Most are in Cameroon. Some are in Cyprus,South Africa,Philippines,India. They could be Cameroonians living in those countries.

Hi nearly fell for this one,
malshieshomes@gmail.com
beautiful dogs and sound so convincing. Our dog passed away earlier this year and we are looking to get another dog and nearly fell for this scam. It's a disgusting they take advantage of venerable people. How is it they are still advertising and not being blocked from advertising. Thank you for the heads up.

Namecheap is their host. Namecheap is bad at blocking these sites. There needs to be a class actions lawsuit against namecheap. That would be hard to do though. Most pet websites are not legit. How did they want you to pay? Never use Zelle,CashApp,ApplePay,PayPal Friends and family. They are not good when you buy anything online. They don't offer protections.

Hi, I didn't get as far is making payment, just got the same email as above and they sent me photos of a beautiful puppy. Is contactdurablemaltcross@gmail.com another scam? It gets harder and harder to work out who is legitimate these dates.
thanks

@ Rita, if they're using gmail it's probably going to be a scam. Real dealers use their own email domain for email, not a gmail account. Check for local, reputable dealers in your area.

One could try contacting the American Maltese Association. Perhaps they can recommend some reputable breeders:

http://www.americanmaltese.org

Or possibly the American Shitzu Club:

https://shihtzu.org

Not sure about associations in Australia, but here are some resources for Australia that one could also explore:

My stepdaughter fell for this scam, unfortunately she didn’t advise me before hand or i would have smelled scam when they refused to FaceTime showing the puppy saying it was not their policy. Now attempting to get the money back via the bank. Money was sent to a National Bank account in Southport, Queensland.

Are you in the US? If so,you should file a police report ans a complaint with IC3.gov and include the police report case number in the complaint. As well as the bank details you should also try to file a complaint at http://www.scamwatch.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/693900
since the mule is in Australia.

In Australia ...
1.first. .. file a police report (you don't have to but it may help)
2 third: file a complaint at http://www.scamwatch.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/693900 and include the case number
